Solution 1: Check system date and time

  3. Click the Sync now button under Additional settings.
  4. Restart Chrome and attempt to load the website.

Solution 2: Clear the SSL state

Windows caches SSL certificate information, which can become corrupted and cause protocol errors.

  1. Press the Windows key, type Internet Options, and press Enter.
  2. Select the Content tab.
  3. Click the Clear SSL state button.

Solution 3: Disable antivirus SSL interception

  1. Open your antivirus software (e.g., Avast, Bitdefender, Kaspersky).
  2. Navigate to the Settings or Protection menu.
  3. Locate features named HTTPS scanning, Web Shield, or SSL scanning.
  4. Temporarily disable this feature.
  5. Reload the page in Chrome to see if the error is resolved.

Confirm the result

  1. Repeat the exact action that originally triggered the problem.
  2. Confirm the original error or symptom is gone and no new warning has appeared.
  3. If the guide changed a driver, service, package, or system setting, restart once and test again.
  4. If the result is worse or unexpected, stop. Reverse only the last change using its documented restore option; if none is documented, use your backup or qualified support.
